Pete Carroll, former Seahawks quarterback and current owner of the Atlanta Falcons, says he doesn’t pay the premium for his own pet, which he’s named “Pete.”
But the cost for his four-legged friend, “Cute,” who is named after him, has skyrocketed.
“The most expensive pet I’ve ever paid for is my pet, Pete,” Carroll told The Huffington News.
“He’s been there for six years, and now it’s been $250 a day.”
Carroll says he pays for “Pegs” insurance “because I love the little guy.”
He says he has “more than a few friends who are just like me and pay $100 a day to be pets.”
“It’s a little crazy,” he added.
“I’m just like, ‘I don’t want to do this, I don’t care about this.’
I can’t afford it.
I know I don”
But I do it because I love him.
I know I don
